‘Iron Pillar’ Kim Min-jae (27-Naples) enjoyed an early winner’s ruin.
In an article titled “Kim Min-jae, Robot Car, and Rahmani Enjoyed a Vacation on the Blue Island,” Il Matino, a local newspaper in Naples, Italy, wrote, “Capri, the island of soccer players. The charm that Capri exudes is increasingly appealing to the stars, who visited the blue island for just a few hours on a very fast private motorboat.”
The publication posted a photo of Kim Min-jae getting off the boat, along with a photo of Stanislav Robotka and Amir Rahmani with an official.
The team was apparently enjoying a day off on the island of Capri following a 3-1 home win over Inter Milan on Sept. 22. Capri is a two-hour boat ride from the port of Naples, one of the world’s top three American ports. There are cruises docked for tourists, but the players arrived privately by boat.

“Kim Min-jae stayed on the island for a few hours with her family. Dressed in sporty clothes, the Napoli defender arrived in the seaside town of Capri and stayed for a while before bidding farewell to his teammates and resuming training for the Bologna match.”
Kim has been on a roll since last season. Shortly before his move to Napoli, he underwent surgery to remove bone chips from his right ankle and rehabilitated to make his Napoli debut. It didn’t take him long to prove himself on the pitch, and he’s been hailed as a ‘monster defender’. Eventually, Kim played an ace role in helping Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years. Then the big European clubs started to come calling, and there are reports that he is close to agreeing a transfer to Manchester United, who have offered him a personal contract after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
To top it all off, he will have to undergo basic military training starting in the middle of next month. He won’t have much time to relax after the season ends. Once the transfer is finalized, he’ll have to move again and get used to his new surroundings. That’s why he took the time to enjoy a trip to Capri.
