FC Seoul and Pohang Steelers played to a 1-1 draw in the 18th round of the 2023 K League 1 at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday. Seoul’s Hwang Eui-jo opened the scoring in the 37th minute, while Pohang’s Ha Chang-rae scored a late stoppage-time winner.
The draw keeps Pohang in second place with 31 points, while Seoul remains in third place with 29 points.
At the official post-match press conference, Seoul head coach Ahn Ik-soo said, “I have nothing to say. I’m sorry. I’ll do a review,” he said briefly. 먹튀검증
As for Hwang Eui-jo, who scored a goal in Seoul’s last home game, he said, “It’s something to celebrate, but there’s something to regret.”
Pohang coach Kim Ki-dong, who scored a theater goal to draw the match, said, “It went well as planned. It was disappointing to concede early on. Hwang Ui-jo scored a great goal because of his individual ability. It was unavoidable. We made changes in the second half and created a situation where we could make up for it. I’m grateful to the players for not giving up and doing their best until the end. This is the Pohang spirit.”
Kim continued, “In the second half, we played our soccer well. We were confident that we could turn the game around, but we didn’t get a goal and became impatient. As a coach, I wanted it to happen sooner rather than later. It’s hard to go to the end,” he added.
