Hanseo Alberto, who wore a LA Dodgers uniform last year and was active in various positions, is heading to the Chicago White Sox.
‘Fanside’ reporter Robert Murray said on the 12th (Korean time), “According to sources, free agent Alberto has agreed to a minor league contract with the White Sox. He appeared in 73 games for the Dodgers last year.”
Alberto is a native of the Dominican Republic and started with the 온라인바카라. Texas Rangers in 2015, then played for the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals and Dodgers.
He recorded a career batting average of 0.272, 19 homers, 121 RBIs, 149 runs, and an OPS of 0.674. His career high season was in 2019 with Baltimore, where he had a batting average of 0.305, 12 homers and 51 RBIs.
Alberto is a player who is more useful in defense than hitting, and played all positions in the infield last year, and has a record of appearing in 10 games as a right fielder and pitcher. He also pitched 11 innings as a pitcher, posting a 4.09 ERA and one strikeout.
Alberto, who is headed to the White Sox, is expected to take on the same role at the Dodgers. He’ll look to compete with Lane Sosa and Romi Gonzalez in spring camp, but if Alberto only shows average hitting skills, he’ll likely be on the big-league roster.
